Pakistan’s most celebrated artist, whose original name is Abdul Mohammad, is a man of many talents. He is a craftsman, sculptor and painter. He is a builder of dams, a scientist, trained as an engineer. He is as close to the Renaissance ideal of the complete artist as exists in our times. He is Gulgee.

Pablo Picasso (Painters)

was born in Malaga, Spain in 1881 to a conventional artistic family. From an early age he displayed great talent for painting and began displaying his work from the age of 14. To further his artistic aspiration he left Spain for Paris where he became part of a new avant-garde movement of art.

Leonardo da Vinci (Painters)

(April 15, 1452 – May 2, 1519) Leonardo is one the world’s immortal thinkers, artists and philosophers. In several different fields he proved to be both innovative and several centuries ahead of his contemporaries. Born as illegitimate son of a Florentine noble and peasant woman Leonardo grew up in Vinci, Italy. In his formative years he developed a love of nature and from an early age displayed his remarkable talents and capacities.

John Constable

(11 June 1776 – 31 March 1837) was an English Romantic painter. Born in Suffolk, he is known principally for his landscape paintings of Dedham Vale, the area surrounding his home—now known as "Constable Country"—which he invested with an intensity of affection. "I should paint my own places best", he wrote to his friend John Fisher in 1821, "painting is but another word for feeling". His most famous paintings include Dedham Vale of 1802 and The Hay Wain of 1821. Although his paintings are now among the most popular and valuable in British art, he was never financially successful and did not become a member of the establishment until he was elected to the Royal Academy at the age of 52. He sold more paintings in France than in his native England.
